About the Founder of "橙“基金公益 (Cheng Foundation): Shanghai Qiancheng Network Technology Co., Ltd.

 

“橙”基金公益 (Cheng Foundation) was established by Shanghai Qiancheng Network Technology Co., Ltd. (“Qiancheng Technology”), a leading big data and artificial intelligence enterprise founded in August 2015. With 90% of its executive team from Tencent and core members from global leaders such as Tencent, Microsoft, and China’s major banks, Qiancheng Technology is recognized as a Shanghai High-Tech Enterprise dedicated to driving social progress through innovation.

 

Headquartered in Fengxian District, Shanghai, the company employs over 200 people, with 70% in technical roles and 31% holding master’s or doctoral degrees. Qiancheng Technology continuously strengthens its talent pool, attracting graduates from top Chinese universities (985 / 211) and professionals from leading financial institutions. Since its founding, it has completed three rounds of financing totaling nearly RMB 400 million, backed by renowned investors such as Tiantu Capital, Pancheng Capital, Hemeng Ventures, Lingfeng Capital, Baoxiniao Co., and 51 Credit Card ( HK listed ). The company has contributed approximately RMB 38.45 million in taxes. Rooted in Qiancheng Technology’s mission to empower society through technology, the Cheng Foundation is devoted to advancing education, innovation, and social welfare, creating sustainable and meaningful impact.

Caring for Users, Giving Back to Society: A Call That Changed a Life“

 

"I haven’t spoken to my parents in four months… Thank you to Qiancheng Technology for your help. May good people live in peace.”After sending the message, Zhao Ning (pseudonym) wiped his tears and walked toward the construction site. On June 20, 2017, a routine follow-up call from Mo Xiaoxi, an employee at Qiancheng Technology, reached Zhao Ning. Hearing his distress, she connected him with the Cheng Foundation. The foundation coordinated with financial partners to waive RMB 1,500 in fees and interest, while offering continued support and encouragement.

 

Since 2017, the Cheng Foundation has helped over 200 people in need rebuild their lives — turning technology into a source of compassion and hope.

In April 2017, volunteer Xiaotong (pseudonym) from Qiancheng Technology visited Banlao Township in Cangyuan County, Yunnan Province — a remote and impoverished mountain region where many children, especially girls, faced barriers to education due to poverty. Qiancheng Technology, a Shanghai-based internet and AI company, has long upheld the principle of “Technology for Good.” In partnership with the China Children and Teenagers’ Fund, the company donated funds through the Spring Bud Project, supporting six local primary schools and ensuring girls could continue their education. Over the following two years, Qiancheng Technology expanded its support to schools in Yunnan and Guangxi provinces, helping dozens of students regain learning opportunities and confidence. During a return visit, Xiaotong met Xiaoxi, a once-shy girl who is now class representative and one of the top students. “I want to study hard, leave the mountains, and one day give back to my hometown,” she said.

 

Founder Zhu Yongmin shared,“We hope to bring care to those who need it most. Supporting children, especially girls, is an investment in the future.”Through compassion and commitment, Qiancheng Technology continues to turn technology into a force for hope and change.

Qiancheng Technology: May Every Dream Bloom

Charity is an act of warmth: caring for the poor and supporting the vulnerable. Qiancheng Technology believes that the power of giving lies in protecting hope and lighting up dreams.When Xiaoshi, a young woman from Sichuan, nearly gave up her dream of becoming a teacher due to poverty, Qiancheng Technology stepped in with financial aid to help her continue her education. Through the Spring Bud Project, the company has supported 100 girls in Yunnan and Guangxi to stay in school. It also joined the “One Breakfast” Initiative, providing nutritious meals for nearly 1,000 rural students to improve their health.

 

Founder Zhu Yongmin shared, “We want to help children in mountain regions grow strong and never fall behind because of poverty.” Qiancheng Technology believes that every dream deserves the chance to bloom.

Qiancheng Technology in Action on Tencent’s “99 Giving Day”

On September 7, Qiancheng Technology visited the Armed Police Training Base in Shanghai, bringing care and appreciation to the officers stationed there. This was the company’s third military–civil community outreach activity following similar visits in August. Coinciding with China’s National Charity Day, Tencent’s “99 Giving Day” is one of the country’s largest public charity campaigns, encouraging everyone to “do good together” through online participation.

This year’s theme — “Let’s do good together, and let’s do it well” — reflects a growing culture of shared social responsibility. For Qiancheng Technology, whose founding team largely comes from Tencent, doing good is not just an event — it’s a habit.

 

From the Spring Bud Project to the One Breakfast initiative, from poverty relief to supporting rural development, the company continues to make philanthropy part of its everyday mission.

 

In Yunnan’s Cangyuan County, a student supported by Qiancheng wrote in a thank-you letter: “When I grow up, I will carry the torch of kindness you passed to me and share it with others in need, so that love fills the world.”Through “99 Giving Day,” Qiancheng Technology hopes to inspire more people and organizations to take part in giving — because every day can be a day for doing good.

Cheng Foundation "橙“基金公益 Scholarship Ceremony Held at Xianju High School

 

On September 3, 2023, Xianju High School held the Cheng Foundation Scholarship Donation and First Award Ceremony in the school’s multifunctional hall. The event recognized 27 outstanding students from the Class of 2022 whose scores exceeded the admission threshold of Zhejiang University. The ceremony was attended by Li Xue, Chairperson of the Shanghai Qiancheng Public Welfare Foundation (Cheng Foundation), board members Zhang Binhui and Zhu Zhiming, along with school leaders, teachers, students, and parents.Principal Guo Lianqing accepted the donation on behalf of the school and presented a “Distinguished Alumnus” award to Mr. Zhu Yongmin (Class of 2000), founder of the Cheng Foundation.

 

In his speech, alumnus Zhu Zhiming shared his gratitude to the school and encouraged students to study diligently and pursue their dreams.The 1 million RMB donation from the Shanghai Qiancheng Public Welfare Foundation established the Xianju High School-Cheng Foundation Scholarship, which aims to recognize academic excellence and inspire students to strive for success. The event concluded with scholarship presentations and a group photo, symbolizing the enduring connection between Xianju alumni and their schools.
